“Business is the force of change. Business is essential to solving the climate crisis, because this is what business is best at: innovating, changing, addressing risks, searching for opportunities. There is no more vital task.”
Richard Branson
I have learned that dramatic events create virtually endless possibilities.
Abuse – Divorce – Death – Disease – Unemployment – Bankruptcy – Foreclosure
You don’t see the possibilities when you’re in the clutches of betrayal, loss, pain, scary stuff, and every other emotion that is anything except remotely positive.
How can you? You get tossed down a dark and stinky hole, sometimes the day is so bad, you’ll jump in the hole yourself just to keep from getting hit again.
In my brokenness and selfishness,
it was easier to hate than love, easier to ignore than care.
What do you do….
When you’re left behind…
When you’re scared…
When you’ve lost a loved one…
When there are more questions than answers…
Here’s what you do first…
You feel the hurt. You feel the stress. You need to do something to be productive. In this order, you will stay calm. Take a deep breath and relax. Think through the situation. Evaluate your options, and develop a strategic plan. Let the plan sit for a while and be patient, then take action.
When I said “Enough was Enough”, I was able to take that first step from pain to power.
What I found out is that if you keep at it long enough — get up every morning and put one foot in front of the other – sooner or later something is going to happen. Something is going to click. The pieces will start to come together and a new and brighter picture will emerge.
If you’ve done your groundwork, completed your preparation, and built a foundation, success will happen. And it will happen quickly.
You drive through to get your food right now. You drive through to get your money right now. You drive through to get your laundry right now. In this day of drive-throughs to get what you want and get it right now, a lot of people get impatient with working and learning. They want it all today without paying the price of getting prepared and learning the basics.
Success is about Discipline, Organization, a Strong Routine, and Persistent Activity.
There are no drive-through Breakthroughs. Success happens when preparedness meets opportunity.
Success is really simple. The first rule is this – simply concentrate on the task at hand with laser-like focus. This one habit will enhance your productivity and set you apart from all the others.
You’ll feel better at the end of the day and after all, don’t you deserve that?
You deserve happiness and will be ‘Loving the Day!’ today.
No Excuses – Just Results
