At the beginning of a new coaching relationship, I asked this question to one of my clients and the response was immediate, just came flying out of her mouth, “Because it sucks to live this way.”
Well put!
Recognize that feeling?
It’s a valid question, after all. How many times have you heard “This is the day I’m going to get organized!” issuing from your own lips. If life seems to proceed reasonably well along an untidy, disorganized path, why then put forth all that energy to “organize your life”.
One word or two – productivity that leads to a day of feeling good. Shall I say it, productivity leads to happiness. When was the last time you really felt good at the end of the day? I mean really felt happy about what you got done?
What Does It Mean To Be Organized?
Organizing is not about neatness or making things tidy.
It is not about being rigid.
Organization is about being able to find what you want when you want it. That means finding time, possessions, space, and peace of mind.
You’re Not On This Journey Alone!
The good news is that organization is a skill; it can be learned. Like any skill, it requires some effort. Breaking lifelong habits isn’t easy. It can be accomplished, however, one step at a time. Then, once you begin to experience the benefits of organization, you’ll never want to give it up!
If it’s been a while and you really are ready to commit to change, then let’s go forward. If you’re not quite ready to make the leap yet know you want to, that’s ok, too. Continue the journey with me – remember, you’re not doing this alone. Consider me as your Personal Change Agent.
I’m going to serve as a guide and translator to help you make your way safely and securely though this complex territory. I will help you chart your personal course to greater productivity, security of your time, and increased happiness. We’ll go at your own pace, taking one step at a time. My programs are designed to be flexible and we’ll tailor them to your individual wants and needs. If you get stuck, give me a call, shoot me an e-mail. I welcome your questions…and your suggestions.
It’s all about Discipline, Organization, a Strong Routine, and Persistent Activity .
Right now, pat yourself on the back, take a deep breath, and celebrate your victory of taking this first step.
You deserve happiness and will enjoy every day again!
